Meeting Minutes
September 11, 2018
Present: Leslie O’Connor, Brenda Moriarty, Tom Unger and Louis Russo
Guest: Maureen Plumeigh, Conservation Commission
Call to order at 4:05 PM
Approval of minutes for the July 17, 2018 meeting:
Motion to accept by Tom Unger, seconded by B, Moriarty. Motion was carried by a unanimous vote.
Community Outreach:
- B. Moriarty displayed layout for ‘What’s in - What’s out’ themed picture for future use in committee as a type of logo.
- ‘Plastic Ocean” film not yet received, possible collaboration with Conservation Comm. for showings.
- Send letter to LYSB to add note to remember to recycle with their annual party letter and also to adhere to recycling standards for the party.
- B. Moriarty to reach out to Senior Center for a possible plastic recycle bin.
- T. Unger to draft letter to send to various circulars, with new logo.
New Business:
1) New contract for collection services for 2019 has been put up for bid. Committee to review bids.
Old Business:
- B. Reemsnyder said that our ordinance shall be presented at the January 2019 Town meeting for ratification.
- Violation bin tags have been delivered and are now in use.
- Discussion on updating Committee charge.

A motion was made at 4:54 PM by to adjourn by T. Unger, seconded by L. Russo. Motion was carried by a unanimous vote.
